Hello everyone, this is Sierra with Calliope Films, back for the third and final piece of Jadallah's Dollas. Where do the dolla dolla bills go?
Post production.
So now you've captured everything you need, and it's time for your editor to put it all together. I like to describe good editing like the Oxford comma.
The way that you use it can drastically improve or alter your messaging that you're trying to achieve. For an example, let's cut to the comma cam.
Let's eat, grandpa. Let's eat, comma, grandpa. See, now grandpa's just coming to dinner. He isn't dinner.
Editing is so important, but good editing and good decisions about your edit must start in pre production.
Best thing you can do is get your video production company involved in the creative process as early as possible. That way we can talk through the things that are going to add to the cost of post production. Things like color correction, motion graphic editing, sound design, the cost of music, what deliverables you need, how many revisions do we need, how much footage are we actually going through here, and of course, leaving room for post production to come in and perhaps fix the things that didn't go our way on the shoot day.
So this is the last of the three steps that will impact how much your video will cost. I hope these videos have been helpful in your understanding of what incurs cost and video production. Either way, keep asking us questions. Let's talk about it. What do you think?
